Ipod 80g classic, crashes my pc when ...

I was asked to wipe the memory on my classic as my pc would'nt recognise it. Since i have done this every time i try to sync it my pc crashes to a Blue screen which says windows has been shut down , this has happened a few times now. I have taken the pc to a repair shop and they restored my windows but i have the same problem again now. Still no music - movies on my pod? can anyone help?

ipod classic damaged by car ignition??? ...

Hi!
I've had my ipod connected to a car stereo (sony cdx-gt530ui) for some time now. It worked just fine until yesterday. I had it connected to my car audio usb port all the time. We were on a trip and we stopped a few times in a 1 hour period. Each time we stopped I turned off my car. Ipod stayed connected. However, after a few time car deck stopped recognizing ipod ("no usb suprt"). Frequent turning off and on apparently damaged my ipod. it works fine on my iMac but not in my car.
Is there a way to fix this without going to a repair centre?

Ipod Classic 80gb randomly pausing. ...

I've recenlty come to find out that my Ipod randomly pauses because it thinks the jack's pulled out. I have Panasonic headphones, the RP-HTX7.
At the Apple store they told me that this is due to the fact that the jack compatibility with Ipods are only optimal with Sennheiser and Bose headphones because they 'Work together' with them.
They told me I could buy a jack to jack cable for 13 euros.

I refuse to do this. It's ridiculous. It's basicly blackmailing you into buying something, and I refuse to be a part of this scam.

So I would like to know if there is some way to solve this problem without being forced to buy a new headphone or some cable. Can I disable the auto pause funtion, perhaps? Or is there a way to make headphones better compatible with the ipod?

Restoring PC iPod

I've made the switch from PC to Mac. Now, I would like to do the same with my iPod. If I restore my iPod from my PC to the factory settings, can I then plug it into my MacBook to make it a Mac iPod?

Battery question ...

I am having a discussion with a fellow Ipod user. We are wondering that if the battery completely dies within the Ipod and a person does not want to replace the internal battery, will the Ipod still work when it is connected to an external power supply? Thanks.

iPod Classis 80GB not showing up in ...

I bought an iPod Classic about a year and a half ago and was not able to use it due to issues with my computer. a couple weeks ago, I got a new computer equipped with windows 7 and reinstalled iTunes on it and re-imported all my music back. no problem.

however, i recently tried to sync all my music onto my iPod classic which i bought a little over a year ago, and the device is not showing up in my iTunes whatsoever. I have tried restarting the computer, connecting the iPod to my computer a thousand times and it is still not working. When i connect it to the computer, a message comes up on my iPod saying "connected: eject before disconnecting" but nothing happens. i have a 64-bit version of iTunes installer, and have the latest updated version of iTunes.

i have tried almost everything and i cannot figure out why it is not showing up as a device in iTunes.

what can i do?
