80gb Issue syncing/poss hdd fault ...

Hi guys

Firstly I would like to apologise if the problems i am having have been covered but i am getting really fed up over my iPod.

About 8 months ago I went to sync my iPod with iTunes when it came up with errors, sync error -48, corrupt drive, cannot write to drive etc...

I tired all the remedys suggested, including new usb cable, resetting iPod, reinstalling iTunes etc... I thought it was my machine (win xp pro) so i reinstalled windows, still nothing.

One day it started syncing then froze, so looked up again for info, done software resets left right centre, reset ipod, used different software to sync music, tried manual syncing, but still nothing, it would freeze at about 200 songs.

1 Day if synced all 3800 songs, but when i go to play them, the songs don;t play, or its missing part of the song or its the wrong tune against the title.

I am putting up with this as i cannot be bothered trying everything again, I can't afford a new iPod, the warranty is out on this one, does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be? and possibly how to fix it.
